Guest rszk
So after quite a few short rides, we decided that the carbon cover on the pillion seat was too slippery for my wife as she was constantly adjusting and sliding towards me when braking. I called Seat Concepts and got a gripper seat instead. So those that have only the OEM cover on their pillion seat can purchase mine for a reduced rate! Here is the Gripper seat:
kstrongsyj
So far the weather hasn't be too cooperative. I have gotten just under 300km on it, but with bad weather means farkling! So far I have done: Yamaha rear LED turn signals Great thread! Can you help me with where you ordered these? You mention they are Yamaha but I don't see them on ShopYamaha? Thanks in advance. Love your bike!!!
Guest rszk
You can buy them from your dealer. Cheers
kstrongsyj
Thanks for the fast reply. I think it may be a Canada thing. Went to my dealer today with a picture and he laughed. Said he can't get it. Was it branded as a Yamaha part? I love the design with the insert between the bulbs
kstrongsyj
For anyone else looking I found them. The website won't let me order from the US. . http://www.yamaha-motor.ca/eshop/detail.php?sectionId=AC&groupId=19&subGroupId=13&categoryId=61&itemId=5288&unitId=4565&unitName=2015%2BFJ-09&unitGroup=MC&unitYear=2015&items_per_page=all&page=

vtrhornmono
Did Yamaha put a part number on the LED driving light bracket, like they did with the saddlebag brackets in the saddlebag "kit"? I want to add some lights to mine but still looking for a good mount to hold the lights on. The Yamaha ones are nice but I will do my own wiring and want more options on the lights themselves. I am hoping Yamaha has a way of selling just the "replacement" bracket...
Guest rszk
No part number. The product is actually made by SW motech and licensed by Yamaha.
revsinator
Hi. I like what you did on your bike. I'm thinking about adding the flush mount LED turn signals. Do you know if they are legal in the US? Are they as visible from any angles? Regarding your Ermax windscreen, are you happy with it? Does it hit your handguards when turning? Does it eliminate the noise and turbulence? Thank you in advance for your help. Have a great day.
Guest rszk
The lights were purchased in California, so I'm guessing it should be legal there. The lights are decent brightness, but their size is on the smaller end. I would still practice always being invisible to cagers though. The Ermax screen was decent, but still on the noisy side. Way better than stock. The Madstad was the best. Side note: I'm glad that everyone liked my build, but I have moved on to the 2015 FJR 1300ES as it is a much better touring bike with my wife. If I could have afforded to keep both I would have. Need to win the lottery I guess.

Moto City Journal
Do you have te instructions manual? Well I got my free 1000km service today and stayed with mineral oil until I get to 3000km, then I will switch to synthetic. I also got the Yamaha Fog/driving lights in as well. Here is the installation of the lights. Bracket first, bolts are tucked in, but okay to access without removing anything: helps with this funky screw driver to get the supports mounted a quarter turn at a time: Yamaha lights, but branded with SW-Motech!: Peeling off the layers to get to the wiring harness: Installing the lights to the mount: Wiring roughed in, test fire before heating up the supplied shrink tubing: Cleaning up and finalizing the wiring: You can install the lights as per the manual like this, or you can put them closer together. I followed the manual. On my Super Tenere they were closer together. Cheers!
xcsp
Do you have the instructions manual?Appears rszk is no longer on the forum. Would have been interested to see a copy of the re-keying instructions for the side cases.
