madeuce216
If you are doing 2-up you are better off with the Versys or an FJR. I know people do 2-up with the FJ, but to me, it's a single rider proposition especailly for any sort of touring purpose.
Premium Member keithu Posted August 19, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted August 19, 2017 I went to Power Kawi-Yamaha fully intending to test ride the Ninja 1000 earlier this year. I like the way it looks and it's exactly the sort of bike that has appealed to me over the last 25+ years. But one sit on the Ninja and I knew not to bother. I've been spoiled by the upright riding position of the FJ. Maybe if I was 10-15 years younger. I like the Versys too, but two-up hasn't been a priority for me so I prefer the lightness of the FJ. It's easy to make the FJ more comfortable: bigger windscreen and a custom seat. But making the Versys 75 lbs lighter? Not so easy.
