jdavis
Pannier inserts painted to match the bike. Got some 'tuning fork' badges coming for the rear cutouts. The painters left a fair bit of adhesive residue on the black, and then, tried to sell me some wonderful cleaner kit. Droped into a local supermarket and got some cleaning wipes, done the job. 3
Supporting Member betoney Posted July 19, 2019 Supporting Member Share Posted July 19, 2019 @jdavis - Those look really nice, they did a great job! From a purely graphic/balance standpoint, my brain is looking for something silver back there, either a silver pin stripe to separate the black and red or something silver in the rectangle cut out, the tuning fork badges might be perfect. I like what you did with the clutch cover to add a little contrast. ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***
wordsmith
Great-lookin' job there, John - really makes the bike, IMHO! Gonna do my lid-painting over the next few days while the wife is away, but will paint 'inside' the two raised ridges. I like the idea of the Yamaha badge insert into the cut-out - might try placing a 'GT' there myself!
