Premium Member Henchman Posted November 5, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted November 5, 2016 is it weird that there's no year number on the cover of this manual? http://www.service-shop-repair-manual.com/yamaha-fj-09-part-lit-11616-28-46-service-shop-repair-manual/ its only about $50 with shipping inside the US, so its quite a deal if its legit. I grabbed mine from http://www.sell.com/2QDXC6 and it appears to be legit.

Sadface. D: Found this seller and manual on another site. Is it an official version or one the somebody has photocopied and is reselling, basically a bootlegged version? Am not interested in supporting them if so. SoCal 2015 FJ-09 Red of course
sunshine
So I clicked on the ebay FJ-09 parts link on the top of the page and this was the first item: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-2015-2016-MT-09-FJ-09-Tracer-900-Service-Repair-Workshop-Service-Manual/252575684778?_trksid=p2045573.c100507.m3226&_trkparms=aid%3D555017%26algo%3DPL.CASSINI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D38530%26meid%3D637680aff5854179953e2b90313f0d15%26pid%3D100507%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26 any idea what it is? Is it a photocopy of the oem manual or a photocopy of Clymer or some other 3rd party manual?

Is it a photocopy of the oem manual or a photocopy of Clymer or some other 3rd party manual? It's all in the listing - you won't get a hard copy but the pdf, electronic version of the Yamaha factory manual - this is someone selling a copyrighted electronic document illegally. This signature is left blank as the poster writes enough pretentious bollocks as it is.

I just got mine from the same place, VERY high quality manual. If it isn't legit then they did a fantastic job making it appear as if it is. ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***

It does look like a good deal, but all the other Yamaha service manuals I have don't have a color picture on the cover and they aren't bound like the one in the picture. That's weird, my official manual has the same front cover, except is has the year (2015) under the FJ-09 text top right corner. Mine also has a different left edging, so not sure if this is official or some kind of knock-off.

I'm not opposed to paying a 3rd party a fraction of the cost that Yamaha would like to extort me for for information that should be included with the product or otherwise freely available from Yamaha, but I'm less inclined to pay for a copy of a copy. also, wth is this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2016-Yamaha-MT09-MT-09-FJ09-FJ-Tracer-900-motorcycle-paper-service-manual/302098451530?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D38530%26meid%3D95027bbffd1244869a9cf2e4c94ff4f6%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D252575684778 a photocopy of oem book in a 3-ring binder? A binder would be used if you were to make a copy of an original.
