Supporting Member betoney Posted November 24, 2018 Supporting Member Share Posted November 24, 2018 Installed my flashed ECU and full HINDLE exhaust system today ? Thanks 2wheeldynoworks! If I remember correctly, 2WDW said that Hindle provided one of the better dyno results on the FJ when they were developing the fuel maps for their flash. ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***
Supporting Member piotrek Posted November 25, 2018 Supporting Member Share Posted November 25, 2018 Re-packed steering head bearings and finally installed the windscreen/dash stay. Removed OE valve/shim stacks from the fork cartridge. Race Tech's DVS website didn't return the config... I will have to reach out to them next week. Photo of the OE compression and rebound stacks, as well as OE valve comparison with the Race Tech hardware (top=rebound, bottom=compression). Now if the temps would just get out of the 40s (Fahrenheit) I could see how it feels. Bouncing up and down on it it the garage was awesome. Is that a YA535?Indeed - SportBikeUnlimited has them at $749 at the moment. Pulled the trigger last week and 5 days later it showed up. It's bittersweet as this was the last major mod to the bike. Purchased new end of September (was a left-over 2015). Since then: Shorty Levers, Andreani cartridge kit, dropped tripple-tree 15mms, GPRV4 stabilizer, Yoshi fender eliminator, removed hand guards, full yoshi R7 exhaust, Ivans ECU Flash, Giles chain tension, Slipper clutch, Rizoma MA006 bars with Rizoma grips and bar ends, and last but not least - YA535. Seat and windshield are last two. 2015 FJ-09 - Andreani Cartridges, Ohlins 535 Rear Shock, LightTech Chain Adjusters, Yoshi Fender Eliminator, Blaster-X Integrated Tail Light/Blinkers, Full Yoshi Exhaust, Ivan's Flash, Bagster Seat, Rizoma: (Bar, Grips, Bar Ends, Mirrors, Oil Cap, Rear Pegs) Bremob Corsa Corta Master Cylinder, Bremob RCS19 Hadraulic Clutch, GPR Steering Damper, Speigler Hydraulic Lines, EBC Brake Pads, Puig Screen, HealTech Quick Shifter, MPG Rearset, XSR900 Slipper Clutch, Driven Racing Halo Gas Cap, SW-Motch Front / Rear Axel Sliders, R1 Rotors / 320mm Kit Conversion. Supporting Member texscottyd Posted November 25, 2018 Supporting Member Share Posted November 25, 2018 @coachluciano - You’re going to love the way the bike works with that new shock & the forks you’ve already had updated. Hopefully it will make you forget how awful the stock seat is, and refocus your attention on how awful the factory shock was... I’m still firmly in the camp that quality suspension is the single best investment you can make on the FJ. Enjoy!
Premium Member sterlinggold Posted November 30, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted November 30, 2018 Replaced fork springs to 1.00 kg/mm and used a 10 weight oil. Based on a short ride, suspension feels really good now.
Supporting Member betoney Posted November 30, 2018 Supporting Member Share Posted November 30, 2018 Today I installed some Denali Daytime Running Lights I ordered from Twisted Throttle during their Black Friday sale. I dont ride at night so I only use these to be seen better in daylight. I attached them to the radiator guard with offset spacers. You have the option of wiring them 50% or 100% intensity or if you want to vary the intensity you can install an inline switch, I chose to wire them in at 100% intensity. They are BRIGHT!! They are very low profile and inconspicuous... ...until they are powered on! ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***
BBB
I’m not a fan of the big diameter running lights, so those look great @betoney, really neat install ?? Red 2015 Tracer, UK spec (well, it was until I started messing with it...)
wordsmith
Careful, betoney, or you'll have ninjaef on your case for filing in the wrong sub-Forum (or sub- sub-Forum), for yours does not appear to be a GT...
