  1. One thing to look for before adjusting the switch is that the plunger isn't stuck. When you press down on the pedal, a spring pulls out a plunger from the switch housing, actuating the light. Road debris, dirt, salt and corrosion can prevent smooth movement of that plunger, spray it down with some WD-40 or electronics parts cleaner and work the plunger in and out for awhile to loosen it up. Your rear brake switch will more than likely work much better.
  2. Glad to hear that you are doing ok. The off season, especially since the 2020 models are already announced, might be the perfect time to find a left over 2019.
  3. Enjoy the sunny weather! Those of us in cold, wet or frozen climates will just have to live vicariously through you. πŸ‘
  4. While that price is below the listed $10,700 MSRP, it is still fairly high for the base model. My local dealer has a standard Tracer that he marked down to $8900, then marked down again to $8700 and there it sits while he sells every GT he can get.
  5. Any bike I have ever had, I always make 3 spares. I keep the main keyring with the bike, a spare key is always in my tank bag and the extra keys at the house in case something happens and someone needs to pick me or the bike up.
  6. Very True. I was just on the BMW website looking at the 1250RS, adding a few options through the "build your own" section quickly brought the price from $15,700 to $19K ($3150 select package) and that didn't include hard bags or navigation. The side bags and top box with inner bags are an additional $2500, the navigation system that is integrated into the handlebar controls with a smart mount is another $1000. Then you start with the personalized cosmetic farkle options...

  8. @coachluciano - Looks nice, I'm sure the brakes will feel fantastic. I wouldn't be able co contain myself, I'd bundle up and go out for a test ride! You've convinced me to pull my R1 master cylinder out of the drawer and get it installed.
  9. It might be the camera angle but it looks like they improved the rear of the seat as well. Looks nice! πŸ‘
  10. I'm not disagreeing with you, AT ALL. I mean, there is a reason that manufactures STILL have to have warning stickers not to put your hands into a blender.😲
  11. You are giving people way too much credit for having common sense. Society needs theses "protect people from themselves" fail safes.
  12. Just curious, do other manufacturers not have the full level indicator? I have never seen a bike that doesn't have this, how would you know when you overfill the tank?
  13. I guess there could be bigger issues in life than having an annoying opening to put the fuel pump nozzle into... πŸ™„
  14. It was a slow day maintenance-wise, the only thing I accomplished was lubing the clutch and throttle cables.
  15. Here ya' go. On sale through Veterans Day.
  16. @OLDESTP - 2wheeldynoworks usually has a sale every holiday. Black Friday is coming up in a few weeks.
  17. The seats look great. πŸ‘ I had the same issue with irritation on my inner thighs, I grip the tank with my knees so I had the front section narrowed, it feels great now.
  18. What are you referring to? the Clutch is on the right side and the stator is on the left. There are no covers in the photos, that is exactly how the 2015 bike is delivered from the factory.
  19. Yes, I really like the new styling, I wish this was available in the USA. Yamaha Tracer 700 Updated For 2020 Yamaha’s 2020 Tracer 700 gets an aggressive new look and updates to the...
  20. I was checking out a lot of the EICMA news today, I found this in one of the articles. β€œThe truly special element of the RS 660 platform is the new parallel-twin engine. According to Aprilia, it is basically the RSV4 powerplant, minus the rear cylinders. Sound wild? We thought so too. Aprilia says this is just the first of an entire new lineup of motorcycles that will utilize this compact engine (we suspect the Tuono 660 will be next). Aprilia claims the forward-facing twin with its 270-degree crank will pump out 100 hp, which will be modulated through the same ride-by-wire system used on the superbikes.” 😎
  21. Tires, suspension and a slipper clutch... That's not a bad birthday, at all! 😎
  22. @baobei - You can always call 2wheeldynoworks and ask them about your issue. Usually Travis answers and he is very knowledgeable and helpful. They can at least give you some advise and get you started in the correct direction. Contact Us – 2 Wheel DynoWorks

  24. The brake lines are completely different, they are hydraulic lines, no moving parts or maintenance needed (except routine fluid flush). I recently replaced my brake lines with high pressure steel braided lines for better brake feel not because the lines were worn out.
